Though this year was brutal on some fronts, I was still fortunate enough to have one of my best days EVER. It was in Miami, Florida, a city I'm also lucky enough to frequent regularly. And even though I know the atmosphere, up until that point I still never visited the beach. Finally, that day happened and it was bliss. Transcendental even. Rosé slushies kept me hydrated while two good friends played a soundtrack as perfect as the Soho Beach Rooftop was that afternoon. I'm wise enough to recognize that these escape tunnels don't present themselves often, so I made sure to soak up every minute.
